General Summary:

Responsible for supporting the procurement and distribution of materials, tools, and equipment for the HVAC Department in Port Washington.


Principal Accountabilities:

  • Procurement of material, equipment, tools, and supplies for Jobsites.
  • Procurement of rental tools and equipment for Jobsites.
  • Research new material, tools, and equipment.
  • Procure, compare, and evaluate quotes from suppliers.
  • Review quality of purchased products.
  • Track material and review back-order reports to ensure materials are delivered on time.
  • Work with Project Managers and Foreman to obtain special item requests.
  • Work with Trucking Supervisor to schedule material and tool deliveries.
  • Serves as backup to other Central Receiving positions as required with miscellaneous duties when directed.
  • Maintains good communication and relationships with Fab Shop and Jobsite Foreman.
  • Matches invoice packing slips.
  • Delivery Processing.
  • Performs other duties/special projects as assigned.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with basic math skills with a high school diploma or GED
  • Good Organizational skills.
  • Good verbal communication skills required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Comfortable working in a team environment and responsible for handling inventory and equipment.

Description of physical working environment:

  • The ability to climb up and down ladders and steps is required with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Requires continuous standing, walking, and lifting. Requires lifting materials up to 75 pounds on a regular basis, with or without reasonable accommodation, and frequent twisting, bending, and turning.
