About the Role
Description
JOB TITLE: Production Specialist I
REGULAR SHIFT HOURS: 10 hours/day, Monday - Thursday with OT on Friday when necessary.
FREQUENCY/DURATION OF BREAKS: 2 x 10 minutes; 20-minute lunch
TOOLS/EQUIPMENT USED: Circuit boards, test fixtures, hand tools, microscope and magnification lighting.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIRED: ESD smocks, ESD foot and wrist straps, safety glasses.
- Performs printed circuit insertions and other manual assembly tasks.
- Prepares printed circuit boards, electronic components, and wire for use in subsequent assembly.
- Responsible for the proper use of simple machines and hand tools to accomplish these tasks.
- Responsible for learning and conforming to industry standards for solder connections.
- Set up work stations and machines using all descriptive and instructional material related to the job assignment.
- Responsible for following instructions explicitly to complete the assigned operation.
Responsibilities for all areas:
- Keep work area neat and organized.
- Actively promote safety and accident prevention by continually observing all safety practices, rules and standards throughout each working day.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Computer Skills: Basic computer navigation skills required.
- Physical: Able to lift 40 pounds with or without accommodation, sit 50% - 100% of shift, stand occasionally, fine motor skills and wrist/arm repetitive motion, and simple grasping 50% - 100% of shift. Full physical requirements outlined in attachment.
- Language: Ability to read, write and comprehend spoken work instructions in English.
- Teamwork: Ability to work in a team environment.
- Independent work: Ability to work independently and be detail oriented.
