Position Overview

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Lewiston, Maine facility.

This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving manufacturing equipment to support continuous production operations. The Maintenance Technician performs mechanical and electrical maintenance, fabricates replacement components when needed, and works closely with Production and Engineering teams to maximize equipment reliability and plant performance.


This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys diagnosing equipment issues, solving technical challenges, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

 

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment throughout the facility
• Fabricate, construct, and assemble mechanical and electrical components using blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Perform preventative maintenance, equipment inspections, and machine repairs to minimize downtime
• Conduct welding, brazing, soldering, electrical calibration, and other maintenance activities as needed
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and diagnostic instruments to complete repairs safely and accurately
• Complete maintenance documentation, work orders, and equipment records using computerized maintenance systems
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment while following all company safety policies and procedures
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform additional maintenance duties as assigned

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 1 year of industrial maintenance experience; electro-mechanical degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings
• Basic computer skills for maintenance documentation and reporting
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Welding, fabrication, or machining experience is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative maintenance team
