Position: Assistant Coach, Strength & Conditioning (Part-Time)
Reports To: Director of Athletics
Position Summary
The Assistant Coach for Strength & Conditioning supports the development, implementation, and supervision of comprehensive strength and conditioning programs for assigned varsity athletic teams. Working collaboratively with coaches and Sports Medicine staff, this position promotes student-athlete performance, injury prevention, rehabilitation, and overall wellness while supporting the mission and goals of the Athletics Department.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in Physical Education, Exercise Physiology, Sport Science, or a related field preferred.
- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) credential required.
- Current CPR and AED certification required.
- Experience developing and administering collegiate strength and conditioning programs preferred.
- Collegiate athletic participation and/or coaching experience at the collegiate or high school level preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Demonstrated expertise in strength training principles, conditioning methods, and the safe instruction, assessment, evaluation, and supervision of weightlifting techniques.
- Knowledge of strength and conditioning equipment and best practices for its safe and effective use.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sport coaches and Sports Medicine staff to develop, implement, and supervise year-round, sport-specific strength and conditioning programs for assigned varsity teams.
- Design and monitor training programs that enhance athletic performance while emphasizing injury prevention and safe training practices.
- Assist with rehabilitation and return-to-play programs as prescribed by physicians, physical therapists, and athletic trainers.
- Educate and support student-athletes in healthy nutrition and wellness practices that complement their training programs.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional strength and conditioning environment.
- Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, College, and Athletics Department rules, policies, and procedures.
- Foster a positive training environment that promotes teamwork, discipline, accountability, and student-athlete well-being.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned in support of the Athletics Department.
