Position: Head Bowling Coach (Part-Time)
Reports To: Director of Athletics
Position Summary
The Head Bowling Coach is responsible for the leadership, administration, organization, and oversight of the College's bowling program. Working in collaboration with the Director of Athletics, the Head Coach plans, directs, supervises, and evaluates all aspects of the program while supporting the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the College's intercollegiate athletics program. The Head Coach reports directly to the Director of Athletics.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required; master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level.
- Demonstrated commitment to the Mission and values of Chestnut Hill College and the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct.
- Strong knowledge of bowling, including coaching techniques, player development, training, and conditioning.
- Ability to assess student-athlete performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective coaching strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage student-athletes, parents, colleagues, and prospective students.
- Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications, or the ability to obtain and maintain certification.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the College’s Mission and Core Values, including a shared dedication to inclusive, mission-driven education that supports the development of the whole person.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight for all aspects of the bowling program.
- Supervise, mentor, and assign responsibilities to assistant coach(es).
- Maintain full knowledge of and comply with all College, Athletics Department, Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC), and NCAA rules, regulations, and policies, including the annual completion of required NCAA coaching modules.
- Communicate applicable policies, procedures, and expectations to assistant coaches and student-athletes.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Athletic Director to purchase equipment, uniforms, and supplies and to coordinate independent competition scheduling.
- Recruit qualified prospective student-athletes in partnership with the Admissions Office and the Athletics Department.
- Foster an environment that emphasizes academic success by supporting student-athletes' progress toward degree completion and considering academic schedules when planning practices and competitions.
- Promote sportsmanship, integrity, respect, and professionalism in all interactions with student-athletes, officials, opponents, spectators, faculty, staff, and the campus community.
- Establish and communicate team policies, procedures, and training expectations.
- Maintain responsibility for the conduct and well-being of student-athletes during practices, competitions, team travel, and other team-related activities.
- Promote collaboration and a positive culture within the coaching staff and the Athletics Department.
- Coordinate the team's participation in the annual Athletics Awards Program, including award nominations and presentations.
- Attend departmental, conference, and other meetings as required by the Director of Athletics.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics that support the mission and goals of the Athletics Department.
