Job Description
We're looking for a dynamic and empathetic People & Culture Executive to join our growing team in Chennai, India. In this role, you'll be instrumental in shaping our organizational culture, driving employee engagement, and building a workplace where every team member feels valued and supported. You'll work collaboratively across departments to create meaningful people initiatives that align with our company vision while ensuring compliance with Indian labor laws and regulations. - Develop, implement, and manage employee engagement and culture programs that promote a positive workplace environment and strengthen organizational values
- Support the full recruitment lifecycle, including job posting, candidate screening, interview coordination, and onboarding of new employees
- Manage employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, performance discussions, and disciplinary processes with transparency and empathy
- Administer and optimize HR information systems (HRIS) and employee databases to ensure accurate record-keeping and data integrity
- Analyze HR metrics and employee engagement data to identify trends, generate insights, and recommend strategic improvements
- Coordinate employee wellness, recognition, and professional development programs that motivate and retain top talent
- Ensure organizational compliance with Indian labor laws, employment regulations, and company policies
- Prepare and deliver HR reports, presentations, and communications to leadership and employees with clarity and professionalism
- Collaborate with department heads to understand talent needs and support workforce planning initiatives
- Organize and facilitate team-building activities, training sessions, and cultural events that foster collaboration and inclusivity
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive HR matters with discretion and professionalism
- Support performance management processes and provide coaching to managers on best practices
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures that reflect organizational values
Qualifications
**Required Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field
- 3-5 years of professional experience in HR operations, people management, or talent acquisition
- Demonstrated expertise in employee engagement, culture development, and organizational initiatives
- Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws, employment regulations, and compliance requirements
- Proficiency with HR information systems (HRIS), applicant tracking systems (ATS), and HR analytics tools
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR data and generate actionable insights
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
- Experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, and full-cycle hiring processes
- Knowledge of performance management systems and employee relations best practices
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience with diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives and cultural diversity management
- Familiarity with employee wellness programs and mental health support initiatives
- Experience in a fast-paced, growing, or startup environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization tools
- Experience in conflict resolution and employee relations best practices
- Certification in HR (such as SHRM-CP or equivalent) or willingness to pursue certification
- Project management experience or certification
- Experience with change management and organizational development initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
- Experience designing and delivering training and development programs
