Location: In Person: Darien, CT & Wilton, CT
Employment Type: Full Time, W2 Employee, Non-Exempt
Compensation: $70,000 - $75,000 annually
Schedule/Hours: Tuesday – Saturday afternoon availability
Reports to: Kelly Orsino, MS, OTR/L & Suzanne Ford, MS, OTR/L
Join Sasco River Center's multidisciplinary team as an Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant!
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at Sasco River Center, you will support the delivery of occupational therapy services to children with developmental, behavioral, and sensory-processing needs under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. You will implement individualized treatment plans, provide direct therapeutic services, and collaborate with families and an interdisciplinary clinical team to promote functional independence and meaningful participation across home, school, and community settings.
Responsibilities:
- Work with OTR to develop a comprehensive treatment plan including long and short term goals, frequency, duration, and treatment modalities
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to children, adolescents, and/or adults
- Administrative duties, including documentation, treatment planning, progress notes, and communication with families, multidisciplinary team members, schools, and outside providers as needed
- Participate in weekly supervision, staff meetings, grand rounds and case consultations
- Set up the gym for evaluations/sessions and maintain a clean gym environment after each therapy session/day
- Perform other clinical and administrative duties as required

Requirements
Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant studies from an accredited program
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) licensure in Connecticut
- Experience providing occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist for children and adolescents
- Strong skills in implementing treatment plans involving sensory integration, fine/gross motor development, and activities of daily living (ADL) training
- Excellent communication, documentation, and time management abilities
- Ability to commute to both Darien and Wilton locations
- 2-3 years experience preferred
