About the Role

Description

Founded in 2001 on the belief that success begins with quality, Qwaltec is a certified Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) headquartered in Tempe, Arizona. We are a team of systems engineers, technical training consultants, program managers, and mission operations experts with deep experience supporting the Department of War, NASA, United States Space Force, and commercial aerospace customers. You will work hand-in-hand with spacecraft factories, RF and digital technicians, network engineers, and software teams across the full mission life cycle — from design reviews and integration through ground and on-orbit test. This position is fully on-site in the Maryland / Washington DC Metro area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor spacecraft health and status and provide support for spacecraft in operation, including anomaly resolution and recovery

• Support spacecraft operations and configuration changes

• Develop mission plans, review logs for day and overnight activity, and compile system and network statistics

• Write or modify procedure files; evaluate and trend spacecraft performance

• Work with spacecraft factories, RF and digital technicians, network engineers, software teams, and others to integrate existing and new spacecraft into ground command and control architectures

• Participate in spacecraft design reviews, integration, and ground and on-orbit testing

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, a science discipline, or related field

• 5 years of relevant experience

• Active Top Secret (TS) or Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance required

• U.S. Citizenship required

• Ability to work fully on-site in the Maryland / Washington DC Metro area

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with satellite telemetry, tracking, and commanding (TT&C) operations

• Experience with spacecraft anomaly investigation, resolution, and recovery

• Familiarity with ground command and control systems and mission planning tools

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive benefits package

• Professional development support and training budget

• Opportunity to grow with a mission-driven, women-owned small business at the forefront of space operations
