About The Company
European Energy develops, finances, constructs and operates onshore and offshore wind and solar farms, Power-to-X facilities and Battery Energy Storage Systems. Based in Copenhagen, Denmark, the company develops projects in 25 countries. Founded in 2004, European Energy has a development pipeline of approximately 65 GW of renewable energy projects.
About the Role

Would you like an exciting career with a high degree of development and responsibilities? Does it motivate you to be on the frontline of the renewable energy business? Would it motivate you to work with design, implementation and operation of OT network infrastructure supporting SCADA, PPC and industrial control systems across renewable energy assets?

Then perhaps you are our new member of the Production IT team.

European Energy is a growing company within renewable energy. We develop, construct, and operate projects within solar (PV) and wind farms globally, as well as Power-to-X. Our core values are the foundation of everything we do: In it together, Trust and courage, Ambition, Excitement, Inclusion, and Agility.

Your new role

You will be part of our Production IT team, a newly established function responsible for building and operating scalable OT capabilities across our global asset portfolio.

The role is based in Copenhagen and works as a close extension of the EPC OT team, supporting both project delivery and operational assets.

Production IT acts as the bridge between OT systems at site level and centralised services, ensuring secure, standardised, and scalable infrastructure across all plants.

As a Senior OT Network / SCADA Engineer, your primary focus will be on OT network architecture, connectivity, and cybersecurity, with a solid understanding of SCADA and industrial control systems as a foundation.

You will work across the full lifecycle of our assets, from design and commissioning to operational support and continuous improvement.

Areas of responsibility

  • Contribute to the design, standardization, and governance of OT network architectures across European Energy's renewable energy assets, including defining network requirements, standards, templates, and reviewing EPC and supplier designs.

  • Support the development of scalable Production IT services by driving consistent infrastructure solutions and reducing reliance on project-specific implementations.

  • Ensure reliable and secure communication between SCADA systems, PPCs, PLCs, RTUs, and field devices through robust network design, troubleshooting, and operational support.

  • Support the secure transition of OT infrastructure from project delivery into operations, including participation in FAT, SAT, commissioning, and system validation activities when required.

  • Implement and maintain OT cybersecurity controls, including network segmentation, firewall policies, secure remote access, and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate closely with EPC, Asset Management, SCADA, IT, and external suppliers, acting as a technical authority for OT networking across both projects and operational assets.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a proactive and solution-oriented professional with strong stakeholder management and coordination skills. You are structured in your approach, focused on quality and timely delivery, and thrive in collaborative, multidisciplinary, and international environments.

We expect that you have:

  • Experience with on-premises or hybrid environments, including compute and OS-level infrastructure

  • Understanding of infrastructure design and system architecture, identity and access integration concepts, monitoring and observability from a platform perspective, backup and recovery architectures

  • Experience working with distributed or multi-site environments, structured project delivery and operational handover, integration between IT and industrial / OT systems

  • Experience with IT solutions supporting OT or industrial environments (primarily energy, but utilities, manufacturing are accepted too)

  • Understanding of availability, lifecycle, and operational constraints in OT environments

  • Exposure to security principles in industrial systems

It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you already have experience within renewable energy or utilities.

With us you get

We offer an opportunity to take on a key role in building the Production IT function at European Energy.

You will be part of establishing how we operate, standardise, and scale OT infrastructure across our global portfolio, moving from project-based delivery to a more structured and sustainable operating model.

You will work across the full lifecycle of renewable energy assets and collaborate with a broad set of stakeholders across EPC, SCADA, operations, and IT.

We provide a dynamic and international working environment with strong technical ownership, high impact, and opportunities for development.
