About the Role

Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting an experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist for its client to support a Social Care and Housing service in Hounslow.

This role offers the opportunity to use your specialist OT skills to assess children and young people, supporting them to access the right equipment, adaptations and interventions to improve independence and quality of life.

You will work closely with families, social care colleagues and housing teams, completing assessments and providing recommendations that enable children to live safely and participate more fully in everyday activities.

What will your responsibilities be? 

  • Complete specialist paediatric OT assessments within a Social Care and Housing setting.
  • Assess children’s functional needs and identify appropriate equipment and adaptations.
  • Recommend solutions that promote independence, safety and participation.
  • Complete home environment assessments and advise on housing adaptations where required.
  • Work collaboratively with families, social care professionals and wider multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide clear clinical recommendations and reports.
  • Support decision-making around equipment provision and intervention planning.
  • Manage a varied caseload of paediatric OT assessments. 

Qualifications & Experience: 

  • Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.
  • Experience working with children and young people.
  • Background in paediatric OT, community services, social care or housing adaptations.
  • Experience completing functional assessments and recommending equipment/adaptations.
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with wider teams.
