Head of Finance & Accounting

Since its spin-off in September 2025 AUMOVIO continues the business of the former Continental group sector Automotive as an independent company. The technology and electronics company offers a wide-ranging portfolio that makes mobility safe, exciting, connected, and autonomous. This includes sensor solutions, displays, braking and comfort systems as well as comprehensive expertise in software, architecture platforms, and assistance systems for software-defined vehicles. In the fiscal year 2024 the business areas, which now belong to AUMOVIO, generated sales of 19.6 billion Euro. The company is headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany and has about 87.000 employees in more than 100 locations worldwide.

Responsible for Finance & Accounting of legal entity covering all locations. Position reports to CFO and has team of executives reporting on the position.

Accounting:

▪ Ensuring completeness of accounting data taking into consideration requirements of Financial Reporting Manual and other Continental guidelines as well as local regulatory requirements
▪ Ensuring financial reporting in compliance with local GAAP and IFRS and also regulatory requirements
▪ Ensure accurate and timely sharing of accounting information to the Management for taking appropriate business decision

Finance & Treasury:

▪ Planning requirements and deployment of funds                           
▪ Co-ordinating with Continental Corporate Treasury on deciding capital structure, sourcing of funds etc.
▪ Ensure better management of treasury for minimizing the cost of funding

Audits:

▪ Review of preparation for IFRS audit, local statutory audits and tax audits
▪ Co-ordination with auditors
▪ Attending and responding to audit queries
▪ Ensure Clean Audit report and on compliance

Insurance:

▪ Identifying risk areas requiring insurance cover
▪ Co-ordinating with Global team on selecting insurers 
▪ Co-ordinating for Claim handling along with Logistics and other department

Direct Taxation:

▪ Day-to-day tax compliance including matters like withholding tax, etc.
▪ Preparation and filing of annual tax return and withholding tax returns
▪ Attending queries from tax authorities
. Representing company before tax authorities during assessment proceeding etc.
. Identifying and implementing areas of tax planning, Transfer Pricing and other areas

Credit Control & Accounts Receivables:

▪ Setting up of credit limits
▪ Monitoring overdue receivables position and follow up for collections
▪ Providing required information to corporate credit control

Credit control:

▪ Ensure Internal control compliance in Finance processes and Systems
▪ Periodic review mechanisms of Risks and implementation of mitigation plan by bringing better internal control
▪ Creating more awareness across all functions on Internal Control

Other Projects:

▪ M&A
▪ Integration projects
▪ Handling new expansion projects - green field/ brown field
▪ Business Planning for future years - long term

Education / Certification: C.A/C.P.A

Professional Experience: >20 years experience in the field of finance, accounting and taxation, Transfer pricing

Project and/or Process Experience: Experience in SAP/similar ERP

Leadership Experience: 5+ years leading a team

Intercultural / International Experience: Should have the experience of handling and co-ordinating with Global managers across the world
