PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Under general supervision, the teller delivers a positive experience to each customer by providing competent, courteous and efficient customer service within the banks policies and guidelines. Responsible for providing banking services to customers by completing a variety of teller transactions, maintaining accounts and promoting bank products.

- Accuracy of processing each transaction proficiently.
- Delivers personal service with customer transactions while focusing on enhancing banking relationships.
- Responds to service requests and identifies new product or service opportunities.
Success Measures
- Recurring reports document accuracy of each transaction and proficiency
- Receive compliments and minimal complaints from both customers and co-workers
- Meets or exceeds established referral targets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Processes all teller transactions accurately while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and within the teller balancing guidelines.
- Maintains working knowledge of local and industry financial fraud trends; utilize this knowledge to be observant by identifying and helping to prevent instances of fraud from perpetration against the bank and/or our customers.
- Identifies customer needs to enhance banking relationships.
- Responds to service requests while primarily identifying additional convenience services that would benefit the customer.
- Maintains a working knowledge of bank products and services to identify opportunities to promote bank products and services to new and existing customers.
- Maintains professionalism with face-to-face interactions as well as answering the telephone and responding to emails.
- Adheres to branch security, exercises dual control and maintains safe working standards according to the Bank Security Program.
- Maintains proper levels of cash in accordance to the Cash Handling Procedure specifying teller drawer limits.
- Executes general housekeeping within the teller area.
- Performs other duties as requested.
- Satisfactorily completes all required compliance training and complies with all regulations, which apply within the scope of the position. Maintains knowledge of, ensures compliance with Federal and State regulations, and adheres to all Bank policies and procedures.
MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical surroundings are generally pleasant and comfortable with minimal exposure to injury or other hazards with moderate level of noise. Visual and manual dexterity to operate general office equipment. Independent means of travel to visit branches and department locations on occasion. Some physical effort required; normally standing with the freedom of movement on a regular basis; handling of up to 40 lbs. occasionally and light materials and supplies. Some bending and lifting.

DESIRED JOB EXPERIENCE
Previous related cash handling experience and/or work experience in a customer service environment preferred.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills. Typing/keyboarding experience, arithmetic and telephone skills are required. Must have the ability to relate well with customers and co-workers in an attentive, friendly and professional manner. Professional appearance is expected. Intermediate use of desktop applications. Must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays if applicable.
