About the role

As a Maintenance Technician at Dutch Bros West Valley, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the safety of our coffee shop facilities. This role requires a well-rounded professional with experience in HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical systems, and general maintenance to ensure all equipment and systems operate efficiently.

This position reports directly to our Director of Growth. However, as a member of the team, you’ll work closely with other inspiring senior leaders. That means you’ll have the opportunity to learn from our growing team at all levels of the organization, all the way to the front lines of our “broistas” serving customers day-in and day-out. While each person within our franchise plays an individual role, we demand relentless commitment to how we also grow as a team—now over 900 people.

What you will do

Everyone who joins our team is responsible for creating value, regardless of their role. But that looks a little bit different for everybody. As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible to:

• Perform regular preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems across multiple Dutch Bros locations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with refrigeration systems, lighting, heating, and cooling units, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Conduct general building repairs including carpentry, painting, and other facility upkeep tasks.
• Professionally clean floors and patios at stores as needed
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and document all performed work.
• Collaborate with the operations team to schedule and prioritize urgent repairs and routine maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety and building codes.
• Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and request replenishments as needed.
• Respond to emergency service requests promptly.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or general maintenance role.
• Knowledge of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) is helpful.
• Familiarity with using diagnostic equipment and hand tools for repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel between various Dutch Bros locations.
• Must be available for on call, after hours and weekends.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly, and occasionally heavier weights with assistance.
• Ability to work on ladders, rooftops, and scaffolding at heights.
• Prolonged standing, kneeling, bending, and crouching in tight or awkward spaces.
• Ability to work in extreme environmental conditions, including high temperatures, cold, and outdoor weather.

Must be available to work from 2pm-10pm 5 nights a week, including Saturday and Sunday.
