About the Role

Description

Atlas Bobcat, part of the Atlas Companies, is currently hiring a full-time Service Manager. This role is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and overall performance of the service department for the assigned branch. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong operational skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:


Leadership & Operations

  • Lead and oversee the daily operations of service department, including service repairs and customer service.
  • Manage and develop technicians within the assigned branch. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, escalations, and support needs.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring safety practices and procedures are being followed.
  • Ensure the showroom, shop, yard, and equipment are clean, organized, and well maintained.
  • Promote a positive, professional, and collaborative workplace culture.

Service Department

  • Schedule and prioritize equipment repairs to meet customer timelines and maximize technician productivity.
  • Ensure work orders are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time.
  • Coordinate shop workflow and communicate clearly with customers regarding service status. 
  • Ensure customer and company equipment is kept in good condition. 
  • Regularly evaluate all service equipment & tool needs and propose solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

Qualifications: 

  • 3-5 years of management or supervisory experience in a shop environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience. 
  • Hands-on heavy construction equipment experience is strongly preferred. 
  • Experience with parts or rental operations is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of specific mechanical training with demonstrated ability to motivate and lead.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Physical Requirements:

  • This position requires but is not limited to standing, bending, crouching, twisting, pulling, pushing, and lifting to 80 lbs., routinely 20-50 lbs.
