Assistant Manager - VOS Engineering

Job Summary
If you are a design professional, Emerson has a great opportunity for you! We are seeking a VOS Engineering Team lead to support our Team. This position will drive the team to develop the General Arrangement Drawings and Bill of Materials for Emerson's VOS Europe & Asia business. You will take part in project-wide reviews of requirements, specifications, and detailed design Drawings. You will also be responsible for collaborating with internal customers such as the sales team and project managers to understand project schedule and scope requirements in high-quality design in accordance with our Quality system, as well as ensuring Engineering deliverables are prepared with due diligence and appropriate consideration of customer requirements.
The successful candidate will be skilled at planning, delivering the deliverables and will have overall accountability for the timely delivery of technical Overall Drawings including bill of materials.

As a Team Lead, VOS Engineering - Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Team Lead is responsible for handling World area projects
Understand scope of supply by reading customer specification and datasheets for VOS project orders
Provide suitable solution for VOS package in line with customer requirements and Drive Engineering documents from the team
Participate in the handover meeting and discuss with sales and project management team on the project requirements and any deviations.
Create a project timeline, notify the stakeholders, identify risks, and take appropriate action to reduce them.
Drive the team to create wiring, schematic, and general arrangement drawings in accordance with the project specification
Checking & Verifying manufacturing designs and the bill of materials
Troubleshoot the operational problems from an engineering perspective.
Verify the all engineering documents before it gets released to customer / WACC / Project Management & Ensuring high Quality of Deliverables.
Drive the team to meet the Key performance indicators like, RDSL, Quality etc.,
Team lead measure the output of the team and inform Manager on the progress based on the Requirement.
Priority settings for engineering deliverables in line with WACC & customer expectation.
Define goals and objectives for the team and review periodically
Drive team to follow the change order process to manage changes
Direct and Maintain engineering standards while creating customer documents
Assist engineers in problem solving and guide them to take decision as appropriate.
Continuously develop training materials for all components used in VOS Engineering
Develop / Create Engineering standards in line with VOS process and procedure
Create work instructions to describe VOS engineering Process and best practices.
Work across all WACC to meet the customer expectation and operations requirements
Develop individual technical competency to become individual contributor
Foster relationships with WACC to accomplish goals.

Education, skill, and experience, you require for this role:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Equivalent
10-12 years of overall experience in CAD and PLM tools & Supervisor Experience including setting up annual objectives, performance evaluation, identifying & planning upskilling of team members apart from regular day to day functional deliverables by the team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and mentoring the team.
Ability to drive change and effectively handle multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Proficiency in solidedge/ Creo, Team center/ Windchill/ Enovia.
Expert user in ERP, preferably Oracle & SAP
