About The Company
Factworks is an international market research and analytics company with offices in Berlin, Silicon Valley and Bangalore and an academic connection to the Business School at the University of Geneva. We combine state-of-the-art market research methods and industry expertise with years of consulting experience to help our clients make successful marketing and management decisions.
About the Role

Who we are

Does this sound like you?

Does this sound like you?

  • Do you have a strong grounding in statistics, quantitative research methods, and analytical thinking?
  • Do you enjoy working with data, exploring patterns, finding structures, and turning complex information into clear insights?
  • Are you naturally curious, comfortable challenging assumptions, and able to apply critical thinking to move from questions to solutions?
  • Does the idea of combining focused analytical work with close collaboration in a fast-paced environment appeal to you?

Sounds like you? Then join our Berlin team!

Why Join Us?

For this junior level position, we are seeking a Market Research Analyst to strengthen our project teams. You will build deep expertise in quantitative research methods, data analysis, and statistical thinking while gaining hands-on experience across a diverse range of market research projects. Through exposure to different methodologies, industries, and analytical challenges, you will develop into a versatile and technically strong researcher with real opportunities to grow within the company.

Factworks is a boutique quantitative research firm. We work with the world's leading financial services, technology and media companies on the research challenges that genuinely matter to them: pricing strategy, segmentation, customer experience and loyalty. The methods we use, including choice-based conjoint analysis, advanced segmentation and large-scale trackers, are technically demanding and highly custom, and our clients trust us with their most important and complex research challenges.

We are a team of roughly 65 people across Berlin, Silicon Valley and Bangalore. Our academic backgrounds span psychology, business administration and economics, statistics, engineering and the social sciences. Being a trusted partner is at the heart of what we do. We hold ourselves to high standards and are passionate about delivering excellence for our clients. At the same time, we foster an open and motivating environment where new ideas and fresh perspectives are always welcome.

Joining us means:

  • A structured introduction to quantitative research at a level of methodological depth that is rare in the industry
  • Exposure from the start to real client challenges from major global financial services, technology and media companies
  • A collaborative, intellectually curious team that takes the work seriously without being hierarchical about it
  • Genuine flexibility in how you work, alongside the expectation that you are present and engaged when it matters
  • The potential to take on increasing ownership of analytical work streams as your technical expertise and business understanding develops

What You'll Bring

The core requirements:

  • Master's degree (or PhD) in a quantitatively oriented discipline: business, economics, psychology, statistics, mathematics, data science, or a related field
  • Solid statistical and methodological grounding: a strong foundation in statistics, quantitative research methods, and mathematical reasoning. You are comfortable with the underlying logic of what the numbers are doing, not just running analyses through software
  • Strong analytical and hands-on data skills: you enjoy investigating complex problems, challenging assumptions, and cleaning, processing, and analysing quantitative datasets to extract meaningful, well-supported findings
  • Clear, structured output creation and communication: you can translate analytical findings into clear, actionable insights, and explain methodologies to non-technical audiences
  • AI tool literacy: you use tools like Claude or ChatGPT to support analysis, drafting, structuring, coding, and sense-checking. You can write effective prompts and apply sound judgement about where AI genuinely helps and where it does not
  • Strong working habits: you keep your work easy to follow, with well-documented files, clear naming conventions, reproducible workflows, and analytical steps that others can understand and build upon
  • Technical curiosity and continuous learning: you enjoy learning new methods, tools, and ways of working, and are excited by opportunities to improve analytical quality and efficiency
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken): this is our working language across all offices and client communications
  • Office tools: you are proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace

Additionally useful:

  • Practical experience in a professional environment such as an internship or research assistant role
  • Working knowledge of Python or R for data wrangling and automation, beyond standard statistical software
  • Some familiarity with survey platforms (Decipher/Forsta, Qualtrics or similar)
  • German language skills are a plus, but not required

What You'll Do

We are looking for a Market Research Analyst to join our Berlin team. From day one, you will be embedded in live client projects, working closely with data to support the delivery of compelling, actionable research.

The role is strongly analytical in nature. You will spend much of your time working with quantitative datasets, investigating patterns, validating findings, and helping transform complex information into robust, actionable insights. Over time, you will take on increasingly complex analytical challenges, automation topics, deepen your methodological expertise, and develop greater ownership of project deliverables and research outputs.

In practice, this means:

  • Work extensively with quantitative datasets: cleaning, processing, validating, and preparing data for analysis
  • Conduct statistical analyses, investigate findings, identify patterns, and contribute to the interpretation of results
  • Prepare chart output, visualisations, and analytical materials that support client-facing presentations and reports
  • Collaborate with project team and method experts on study design, survey programming, fieldwork monitoring, analysis approaches, and interpretation of results for ad-hoc and tracking studies
  • Use AI tools as part of day-to-day work for drafting, structuring and sense-checking, while applying sound judgement about outputs
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of analytical processes, tools, and ways of working
  • Gradually take ownership of larger analytical workstreams as your technical expertise, methodological knowledge, and business understanding develop
