Job Description
Core functions
To confirm and/or identify new business opportunities and develop in set geographical zones, the sales of added value yeast and yeast derivates in the targeted market segments (beer and/or wine and/or spirits and/or other coffee and/or fermented beverages).
To meet or exceed the financial targets from the established Yearly Sales report.
To report to management on factors that are either benefiting or affecting the company Yearly Sales & Marketing Plan.
Reporting
Reports to Director of Sales.
Key Areas of Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
1. P&L & Sales Performance: Achieve targeted sales revenue objectives.
2. Budgeting & Reporting: Prepare own budget, assist with sales & marketing budget preparation, and report monthly results, analysis, and action plan status.
3. Team Management: Oversee Regional Sales Managers' (RSM) budget application and conduct their yearly performance appraisals.
4. Market Research & Intelligence: Conduct studies to validate market projections, identify key contacts and organizations, update customer databases, identify prospects and business opportunities, and monitor competitor activity.
5. Technical Sales & Customer Relations: Visit accounts and prospects per the sales plan, deliver technical presentations, prepare sales offers, and provide technical support to customers and distributors.
6. Marketing & Promotion: Identify promotional opportunities, promote products and company expertise, and actively participate in/contribute to trade shows, seminars, and conferences.
7. Distribution Network Management: Execute yearly plans with distributors, provide them with ongoing support and training, and report progress quarterly.
8. Sales Administration & Coordination: Liaise with Sales Administration and Supply Chain departments to ensure smooth order-to-cash processes and product availability.
9. Quality & Customer Service: Manage and follow up on customer complaints to ensure resolution and service quality.
10. General Duties: Perform other assigned duties as required.
Qualifications
Master or degree in chemistry, biology, food science and/or fermentation ideally with alcohol beverage production specialization
Experience 5 - 10 years, selling technical ingredients (i.e. yeasts, enzymes or flavours), to industrial beverage producer would be a strong advantage
Interested and sensitive to other SEA-SA cultures
Team player, positive, dynamic and autonomous
Excellent English communication; Local language in SEA-SA is a plus
Good commercial skills, but with also a strong ability to discuss the biotechnological process
