And this is just one of the things we do. We're still in the early stages of this journey. We started Cluey in 2017 and launched the first version of our online tutorial model for individual students in 2018 (first for Mathematics, then for English and Chemistry). In 2019 we introduced small group learning for Mathematics and English and started running small pilot programs to support in-school learning. We listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX: CLU) in December 2020 to accelerate our growth and expansion. The work we do at Cluey is both interesting and rewarding. And a lot of our most interesting work is ahead of us.
About the Role

Cluey Learning is Australia’s leading online tutoring service is expanding its presence in New Zealand and Australia and is looking for experienced, professional, and strategically minded senior school tutors to join our team, focusing specifically on New South Wales curriculum!

We are searching for high-calibre educators and HSC subject matter experts who are dedicated to guiding Year 11 and 12 students through the high-stakes environment of the Higher School Certificate (HSC). We need tutors who excel in:

  • HSC Mathematics (Standard, Advanced, Extension 1 & 2)

  • HSC English (Standard, Advanced, Extension 2)

  • HSC Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)

What Makes Our Senior Tutors Unique?

  • We are seeking individuals who embody Professionalism, Reliability, Patience under Pressure, and Strategic Adaptability to manage high-stakes HSC exam preparation.

  • Proven ability to navigate NESA Syllabus documents, marking guidelines, and tailor lesson structures to the student's unique needs (e.g., test anxiety vs. strategic underachievement).

  • Ability to handle student distress and anxiety with immediate de-escalation, providing expert, calm, and strategic guidance when students receive low assessment marks or face trial exam stress.

  • Have access to a private online workspace where you can delivery all online tutoring sessions effectively.

About You:

  • You are based in Australia and have the right to work here.

  • You are a qualified teacher or a university graduate/current student with a background and high-level expertise in the relevant HSC subject (e.g., Band 6/E4 result preferred).

  • You have prior experience tutoring or teaching Year 11-12 students through the HSC.

  • You are available for 10+ hours per week during peak hours, typically 6pm-11pm weekdays and 10am-6pm weekends.

  • You are tech-savvy with excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students in an online, high-stakes environment.

Requirements:

  • A dedicated, distraction-free professional workspace, reliable computer, stable internet connection, headset, and microphone.

  • A CV/Resume and a copy of your latest academic transcripts/qualifications (HSC/ATAR results for non-qualified teacher) - please submit these in PDF format.

  • A current Working with Children Check (WWCC) for NSW.
