About the Role

Description

As our Club continues to grow and evolve, we're investing in our future by expanding our executive leadership team with a newly created Assistant General Manager position. This role reflects our commitment to providing an even higher level of support to our members, our department leaders, and our team members while ensuring operational excellence across the Club. 


Reporting directly to the COO/General Manager, the Assistant General Manager will serve as a trusted strategic partner, helping lead daily operations, mentor department leaders, and ensure every aspect of the Club reflects the exceptional standards our members expect.

What You'll do:

As the AGM, you'll help oversee the Club's daily operations while partnering closely with the COO to execute strategic initiatives and operational priorities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coaching, mentoring, and developing department leaders to achieve exceptional performance. 
  • Ensuring consistently outstanding service standards across all member-facing operations. 
  • Partnering with Club committees and leadership to enhance member engagement and satisfaction. 
  • Leading operational planning, budgeting, forecasting, and resource management. 
  • Driving accountability, operational consistency, and continuous improvement. 
  • Supporting strategic initiatives that strengthen the Club's long-term success. 
  • Serving as acting General Manager during the COO/General Manager's absence.

Requirements

What We're Looking For:

The ideal candidate is a visible, relationship-driven hospitality executive who combines operational excellence with strategic thinking.


Successful candidates will bring:

  • At least 10 years of progressive executive leadership experience within private clubs, luxury hospitality, resorts, or similar high-end service organizations. 
  • Deep knowledge of club food and beverage operations and member service. 
  • A demonstrated ability to develop high-performing leadership teams. 
  • Strong financial and business acumen, including budgeting and operational planning. 
  • Outstanding communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills. 
  • A proven record of improving operations while enhancing the member experience. 
  • The confidence to serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the COO. 
  • Impeccable integrity, sound judgment, and a collaborative leadership style. 

A bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred. Equivalent executive hospitality experience will also be considered. Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation is encouraged but not required.
