Job Description
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Senior SAP Application Expert, you will drive the reliability, performance, and optimization of SAP batch operations across enterprise landscapes. You will own the end-to-end batch job lifecycle, leveraging automation and enterprise scheduling platforms to deliver stable, scalable, and cost-efficient SAP operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end SAP batch job scheduling, execution, monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Optimize batch scheduling and execution to improve system performance, stability, and cost efficiency.
- Manage enterprise workloads using Redwood RunMyJobs (RMJ) or similar scheduling tools and automate operational tasks.
- Enhance monitoring, alerting, and observability to ensure high availability and efficient recovery.
- Drive batch job governance, documentation, standardization, and operational best practices.
- Analyse batch performance, identify optimization opportunities, and support capacity planning.
- Collaborate with SAP product, platform, and operations teams to ensure reliable batch processing.
- Act as the SME for batch job management and support incident reviews and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You will be part of the SAP Site Reliability Engineering team, a strategic function responsible for ensuring reliability, observability, automation, and operational excellence across H&M's SAP landscape.
In this role, you will collaborate with SAP Product Teams, SAP Run Services, and Application Management teams to support business-critical processes, improve service reliability, and ensure smooth daily operations, effective incident resolution, and operational readiness.
WHO YOU ARE
We are looking for people with
- 6-10 years of strong experience in SAP Operations, SAP SRE, SAP Basis, or Application Operations.
- Hands-on expertise in SAP batch job management, scheduling, and workload optimization.
- Strong understanding of SAP landscapes (ECC, S/4HANA, and integrations), job dependencies, execution flows, and performance tuning.
- Experience in incident management, problem management, and operational governance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to partner with business and product teams to understand critical business process dependencies and ensure reliable end-to-end execution.
- Proven ability to Collaborate with Vendor teams and platform teams to drive tool optimisation, roadmap alignment, and adoption of best practices.
Preferred Skills:
- Understanding of ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
- Experience defining and implementing operational governance, KPIs, and reporting.
- Experience with Redwood RunMyJobs (RMJ) or similar enterprise job scheduling tools.
- Exposure to SAP monitoring and observability tools such as SAP Focused Run (FRUN), SAP Cloud ALM, and Splunk.
- Knowledge of automation frameworks and scripting.
- Experience supporting large-scale SAP transformation or stabilization programs.
