About Your Role:
We are looking for a passionate HSE Advisor to join our team at the Spotswood Maintenance Facility. In this role, you will partner with operational leaders to drive safety performance, support compliance, lead investigations, and promote a strong safety culture across our rail maintenance operations.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading rail and transport services provider and contribute to the delivery of safe and reliable maintenance outcomes for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HSE improvement initiatives across the site.
- Provide guidance and coaching to operational managers, supervisors and employees on HSE, Rail Safety, Workers' Compensation & Injury
- Support compliance with legislative obligations, company standards and client requirements.
- Conduct workplace inspections, audits and assurance activities.
- Facilitate internal and external audits and lead follow-up actions.
- Lead or participate in incident investigations and corrective action processes.
- Support injury management and return-to-work programs.
- Promote a positive safety culture and drive continuous improvement across all operational activities.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will be a passionate HSE professional with experience in rail, transport, construction, infrastructure, manufacturing or other high-risk operational environments.
You will also have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety (Diploma or higher preferred).
- Experience managing relationships with regulatory authorities and key stakeholders.
- Incident investigation training, with ICAM certification preferred.
- Lead Auditor qualifications in AS4801 or equivalent management systems.
- Strong communication, coaching and influencing skills.
- The ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- A commitment to safety leadership and continuous improvement.
