About the Role

Your tasks

ISCC – International Sustainability and Carbon Certification is one of the leading certification systems for sustainability, traceability and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Our activities and impact are expanding and our teams are growing exponentially since the last 2 years. This is why the Integrity Management team is looking forward to welcome you as System Manager - Integrity Management at ISCC headquarters in Cologne.


The System Manager - Integrity Management has the objective to maintain efficient management, organisation, implementation and further development of the integrity program to ensure that certified companies as well as certification bodies are compliant with the ISCC requirements.

 Your main duties will be:

  • Manage and optimise Integrity Management processes
    • Continuously develop Integrity Program, e.g. by identifying relevant focus areas or possibilities to adapt and improve processes and documents 
    • Support on following the ISCC's strategy by alignment with the department goals
  • Exchange with relevant stakeholders such as authorities on market developments and cases related to integrity management
  • Establish and maintain governmental/national system relations (e.g. national authorities, OLAF, REFUREC, CA-RES)
Day-to-day work of department:
  • Leading investigations on potential non-confromities with ISCC requirements
  • Leading investigation of whistleblower reports and complaints
  • Evaluate incoming request and information on non-conformities with ISCC requirements
  • Communicate sanctions of certified companies and Certification Bodies
  • Monitoring of Certification Bodies performance
  • Discuss and evaluate integrity related cases with respective departments
  • Documentation in internal data base
  • Drafting and development of system documents and updates
  • Legal check of documents / ISCC's internal processes
Additional duties:
  • Participate in other selected Integrity-related ISCC projects
  • Representing ISCC at external events
  • Participate in CB Meetings
  • Accompany audits as witness auditor
  • Present ISCC Trainings (Internal & external)
  • Train new staff members
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement process within company

Your profile

  • University degree in environmental studies, business management, economics, law, political science, public administration or similar
  • At least 5 years postgraduate professional experience; specialist in corporate compliance, due diligence, ESG preferred
  • Professional experience working with grievance redressal and complaint investigations
  • At least 3-year postgraduate professional experience in relevant field (organisations/stakeholder associations) for similar topics
  • Must-have/Preferred: experience with sustainability certification, labels and/or relevant EU and/or Member State legislation
  • Must-have: solid experience in project management in international context + extensive experience in high-level customer support
  • Must-have the following skills: 
  1. Effective communication
  2. High level of integrity and confidentiality
  3. Excellent organisational and time management skills
  4. Excellent analytical and strategic thinking
  5. Excellent mediation skills
  • Excellent (C1 – C2) English language skills (written and spoken)
  • Very good copy-writing skills
  • Very good PC and Office user skills + general IT proficiency
  • Excellent understanding of certification systems for bio-based fuels/low carbon fuels
  • Excellent knowledge of ISCC EU certification scheme
  • Very good understanding of relevant EU legislation on bio-based fuels/low carbon fuels
