[What the role is]
School of Applied Science - Lecturer / Senior Lecturer (Marine and Environmental Science with Aquaculture)[What you will be working on]
Lecturer will undertake curriculum development and delivery of diploma-related modules as well as be involved in applied science (aquaculture)-based research projects. Candidates should possess relevant work or research experience in the area of marine science/marine and terrestrial/freshwater ecology.
[What we are looking for]
• Relevant qualification in the field of marine/environmental science or marine/terrestrial ecology
• Candidates should possess at least five years of relevant industry/research experience with exposure to marine ecology and conservation/environmental protection
• Knowledge and experience in oceanography, ecosystem dynamics and aquaculture management will be an advantage
• Interest in both academic aspects of marine environment management, protection and conservation as well as in its application and in related capacity building activities supporting environmental sustainability
• Strong industry links and exposure, with experience in related sectors is an advantage
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with people at all levels
• Possess sound planning, organising and multi-tasking skills, with a strong sense of responsibility for completing assigned duties on time
• Proficient in IT skills
• Deliver planned curriculum to adult learners on weekday evenings and on scheduled weekends and participate in assessment activities
