[What the role is]
School of Engineering - Lecturer (Mobility & Robotic Systems)[What you will be working on]
• Curriculum development, course delivery and student project supervision in the areas of large mobility and smart robotic engineering systems. This includes, but is not limited to, automation, manufacturing, advanced robotic systems such as Industry 4.0/5.0 and Intelligent Transport Systems, including Autonomous Vehicles (AVs) and Electric Vehicles (EVs).
• Develop and conduct Continuing Education and Training (CET) lessons.
• Spearhead and identify new opportunities, initiatives and collaborations with industry.
• Undertake project development or consultancy work with industry.
• Perform other administrative work related to the programme.
• Undertake student development activities.
• Mentor and motivate students in their learning journey.
[What we are looking for]
• Qualification in electrical / electronic / mechanical / mechatronic engineering or a related discipline, preferably with at least 1 year of experience in design, deployment, and commissioning of robotics, automation systems, or Intelligent Transport Systems.
• Possess excellent initiative, strong multitasking skills, and a strong sense of responsibility for completing assigned duties on time.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as an excellent team player.
• Comfortable with programming and electronics, such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Python, or similar platforms, hands-on experiences in Robotics, Robot Operating System (ROS), Robot Programming, Industry 4.0/5.0, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Collaborative/Mobile Robots or Intelligent Transport Systems will be an advantage.
