  Build Advanced Custom Equipment at LACO Technologies


LACO Technologies is seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembly Technician III to join our Production Assembly team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled assembler who enjoys solving mechanical challenges, building complex equipment, and taking 

ownership of projects from start to finish.


As a senior member of the team, you'll help build custom vacuum and leak testing systems used by leading organizations in aerospace, medical, automotive, and advanced technology industries.

Requirements

  

What You'll Do

  • Assemble complex mechanical systems from engineering drawings and bills of material
  • Install and integrate mechanical, pneumatic, and vacuum components
  • Perform mechanical troubleshooting and resolve assembly challenges
  • Ensure assemblies meet quality, safety, and performance requirements
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Test teams
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist in training and mentoring less experienced technicians

What We're Looking For


Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proven ability to independently build and troubleshoot complex mechanical equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, BOMs, and assembly documentation
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Experience

  • Typically attained through 5+ years of experience in machine building, industrial equipment assembly, fabrication, maintenance, automation equipment, custom machinery, or related mechanical work.
  • Candidates with demonstrated expertise in building and troubleshooting complex equipment may be considered with fewer years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building custom machinery or automated equipment
  • Pneumatic and vacuum system experience
  • Experience working from engineering drawings and specifications
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
  • Technical school, apprenticeship, military technical training, or vocational      education

Compensation & Benefits


Pay: $30.00 per hour
