About the Role

UPMC Corporate is seeking a Construction Project Manager to join our team! This role will support projects at both UPMC Wellsboro and UPMC Cole, with flexibility to be based at either location. The position follows a Monday through Friday, daylight schedule.

In this role, you will oversee the full construction process, ensuring projects are delivered competitively, accurately, and on schedule—while maintaining the highest standards of quality and user satisfaction. You will work under the general direction of the Program Director, Construction, to successfully execute projects from planning through completion.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Collaborates with construction management personnel, supply chain management personnel, outside vendors, contractors and design professionals to assure comprehensive satisfaction of the end user for all projects assigned.
  • Schedule and coordinate all Department of Health inspections and certifications.
  • Liaison with architects/engineers as required through the design and construction process.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all ICRA requirements.
  • Complete all necessary/required paperwork essential for all phases the projects in compliance with the established policies and procedures.
  • Manage day-to-day activities related to a variety of construction projects performing all duties in compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Assure satisfactory completion of every project assigned including the completion of punch lists, phone and data installation, furniture and equipment placement and move-in.
  • Assure that all construction activities are carried out in a safe and secure manner and that all relevant regulatory requirements are met.
  • Oversee activities and performance of outside contractor forces in accomplishing contracted work.
  • Maintain budget and schedule for all projects assigned.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the existing facilities and their utilization on all UPMC Hospital campuses.


  • B.A. or B.S. degree in architecture, engineering, construction management or closely related field and three years construction management experience
    • OR eight years experience in construction management is required
       


Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Registration for Architecture or Engineering preferred.
  • Act 34
