Senior Project Engineer

We are hiring a Senior Project Engineer (12 months fixed term) based at our Braeside Manufacturing Site in Victoria.
Purpose of Role
The role is responsible for providing day-to-day engineering and project management support across the Braeside Campus. This includes leading facility upgrades, equipment installations, laboratory improvements, office modifications, and other capital projects that support our manufacturing operations.
The role also provides engineering solutions to support the Maintenance Department and identify process improvement opportunities that enhance operational efficiency, productivity, compliance, and site performance. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering engineering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, ensuring our Australian manufacturing operations remain competitive and world-class.
This role reports to the Engineering Manager and is based onsite at our Braeside Manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities include:
Lead the development of feasibility studies, project specifications, budgets, and business cases to support capital expenditure submissions and approvals.
Manage engineering projects from concept through to implementation, including resource planning, stakeholder management, timeline control, and budget oversight.
Deliver engineering projects safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with site requirements.
Provide engineering support and technical solutions to the Maintenance Team to improve plant reliability and performance.
Identify and implement process improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
Develop machinery, systems, and process specifications to support equipment procurement and project execution.
Produce and review engineering drawings using AutoCAD and/or 3D Inventor software.
Coordinate and manage contractors, construction activities, and site works to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with GMP, EHS, and Blackmores Group standards.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve project objectives and drive continuous improvement across the site.
Who are you?
Degree qualification in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, or a related discipline).
Demonstrated experience in engineering project management within a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, food, FMCG, or related industrial environment.
Strong project management capabilities, including budget management, scheduling, and stakeholder engagement.
Proficiency in developing engineering specifications and technical documentation.
Experience using AutoCAD and/or 3D Inventor for engineering design and drafting.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage contractors and coordinate construction or installation activities safely and effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organisation.
Knowledge of GMP, Engineering, and EHS principles would be highly regarded.
Ability to prioritise competing demands and deliver results in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
