About the Role

Le Jardin Academy is looking for a Primary Student Experience Manager (Secondment) for the 2026/2027 School Year. Bachelor's Degree and 1 year school event planning experience are required. Supervisory experience, teaching/experience working with children, and background in communication are preferred. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. No phone calls, please. Position Summary

The Primary Student Experience Manager is a one-year secondment position that is responsible for coordinating and executing extracurricular activities and hallmark events that further the goals of LJA’s experiential education program. The Primary Student Experience Manager plays a key role in bringing Le Jardin Academy's Primary School programs, events, and experiential learning opportunities to life. Working closely with school leaders, teachers, and community partners, this role oversees logistics and operations and coordinates and manages hallmark student experiences, field trips, camps, special events, and extracurricular and recess programming that enrich student learning and strengthen community connections. Through collaborative leadership and effective organization, the Primary Student Experience Manager helps ensure a vibrant, inclusive, and mission-aligned student experience both on and off campus. This position serves as a bridge between vision and implementation, ensuring that student experiences are thoughtfully organized, well-executed, and aligned with the school's mission, values, and experiential education goals. In addition, the role provides operational support for divisional initiatives, substitute coordination, and selected student support processes.




GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acts as a liaison with employees, students, parents, and outside agencies

  • Maintain positive and professional staff and parent/family relationships; welcome and greet parents and office guests

  • Maintain positive and professional staff and parent/family relationships

  • Manage communication of information in and out of the office; type out correspondence letters, emails, etc. (paper and electronic); prepare outgoing mail and packages 

  • Plan and schedule meetings, presentations, and other events; send reminders regarding upcoming appointments


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Events and Activities (in collaboration with Deans and Teachers) 

  • Leads coordination of student events and activities activities

  • Plans, communicates, and implements of the following events/activities, including but not limited to:

    • Parent Nights

    • Winter Concerts

    • Earth Day

    • May Day

    • Artsfest

    • Family Fun Night

    • Book Fairs and Swaps

    • Splash Into Summer

    • Field Trips and guest speakers 

  • Responsible for the coordination and delivery of annual camps (Grade 4)

  • Mentors Impact Academies

  • Oversees recess, elevating the recess experience for PK-5 students

  • Supports the implementation of Wildblocks and specials


Substitute Coverage 

  • Supports with hiring, training, and onboarding of substitutes.

  • Maintains a list of qualified substitutes and the sub-system

Coordinates booking of substitute coverage

Operational Support

  • Supports with communicating of budget account data to budget leads

  • Supports in the ordering of supplies 


Student Support Meetings

  • Booking of student support meetings


OTHER DUTIES

  • Covers recess and lunch duties

  • Support with students in the classroom setting

  • Other duties as needed


Education: 

●    High School diploma or GED

  • Bachelor’s Degree


Experience: 

  • 1 year school event planning experience (required)

  • Supervisory experience (preferred)

  • Teaching or experience working with children  (preferred)

  • Background in communication (preferred)
