Job Description:
The Marketing and Communication Manager holds regional accountability for executing Satair’s brand equity, corporate reputation, and commercial marketing strategy across the Greater China region, aligning closely with global strategy owners based in Europe. Serving as a key strategic partner to the regional executive leadership team, the role holder acts as the primary regional driver for the global Satair marketing and communications roadmap, adapting and executing high-impact omnichannel initiatives to expand market share. This position governs regional digital ecosystems (including executive WeChat strategy), drives thought-leadership positioning at premium aerospace forums, manages the regional marketing and coms budget, and leads cross-functional teams to directly impact corporate commercial success.
Primary Responsibilities:
Regional Strategy & Leadership: Architect and execute the long-term, localized marketing and communications master plan for China, aligning regional investments directly with Satair’s commercial growth targets.
Omnichannel Digital Governance: Define and govern the strategic direction of Satair’s digital ecosystem in China (WeChat, corporate portals, etc.), acting as the final authority on regional content strategy, compliance, and crisis PR management.
Brand Equity & Corporate PR: Serve as the primary regional guardian the Satair brand identity in China; lead media relations, public affairs, and thought-leadership positioning to strengthen corporate reputation.
High-Stakes Event Strategy: Direct the selection, presence, and executive-level positioning at major aerospace conferences, forums, and customer symposium, to maximise Satair’s regional industry footprint.
Commercial Acceleration & Go-To-Market (GTM): Partner with Product Management and Commercial Sales Heads to co-develop integrated commercial launch frameworks and account-based marketing plans for tier-1 aerospace customers and partners.
Budgetary & Vendor Ownership: Optimize the regional marketing and communications budget allocation; lead strategic procurement, contract negotiations, and ROI evaluations for top-tier agencies and external partners.
Executive Advisory & Messaging Control: Council and prepare regional senior executives for high-profile keynotes, media interviews, and government affairs, providing advanced bilingual corporate storytelling and speechwriting support.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Act as the strategic partner for the China market with European HQs (Germany/Denmark) to ensure that Chinese market nuances and commercial needs are integrated into global campaign planning.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the central marketing and coms point of contact in China to ensure that regional functions (Sales, PM, Finance and others) are kept informed of global marketing and coms activities and timelines.
Talent Development: Potentially mentor a regional intern and coordinate agile, cross-functional project teams to deliver on local marketing and coms priorities.
Output:
Digital Engagement Metrics: Measurable growth in WeChat follower engagement, click-through rates, and brand impressions within the target Chinese aerospace audience.
Event Excellence & Brand Equity: Flawless execution of local industry conferences within budget, resulting in enhanced public relations and positive brand sentiment.
Campaign ROI & Commercial Enablement: Successful localization and rollout of marketing campaigns that directly generate leads, support sales pipelines, and boost regional commercial activities.
Budget Optimization: management and optimization of the regional marketing budget, achieving high-value output via strategic vendor consolidation.
Risk & Reputation Mitigation: Zero corporate brand or regulatory compliance violations across all localized marketing and media outputs and strong alignment with Airbus.
Executive Engagement Success: Successful high-profile positioning of local leadership at tier-1 industrial events.
Operational Efficiency: Timely delivery of localized assets, promotional materials, and global corporate cascades.
