The Senior Field Service Engineer, SEAHKTW is responsible for delivering excellent customer support and service on leading-edge Leica Biosystems products to academic research, pharmaceutical, and clinical diagnostic customers across Hong Kong, Taiwan, and other Southeast Asia regions as required.

 

The Senior FSE will provide technical support on-site, by phone, email, and remote access for digital pathology products, advanced staining products, and Leica Biosystems’ core histology portfolio. The role is responsible for installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and customer training while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and equipment performance.

 

This position is part of the Commercial Department of LBS located in Hong Kong and will be remote. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Leica Biosystems instruments and systems to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

  • Provide on-site, remote, email, and phone-based technical support for digital pathology, advanced staining, and core histology products.

  • Conduct instrument installations, preventive maintenance, upgrades, and customer training in accordance with standard procedures and quality requirements.

  • Collaborate with Sales, Applications, Customer Care, and Technical Support teams to deliver an excellent customer experience and minimize instrument downtime.

  • Support service growth by identifying service opportunities, maintaining accurate service records, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives using DBS tools.

 

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, with experience in clinical diagnostic or life sciences instrumentation service.

  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage customer issues effectively.

  • Good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin, with excellent customer-facing communication skills and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
