Early Childhood Educator - Level 2

Position Details
Status: Contract
Contract End Date: March 2028
Responsibilities
- Maintain documentation, reporting, and record keeping.
- Implement an Emergent Curriculum.
- Support children's emotional, physical, and behavioural well-being while helping to develop their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills.
- Maintain attendance records and complete health and safety checks.
- Work collaboratively with professionals such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists as required.
- Support children through transitions in and out of the classroom.
- Meet all classroom ratios as outlined.
- Participate actively in team meetings and professional development workshops.
Specifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to utilize computer systems for documentation, reporting, and classroom operations.
- Strong collaborator and team player.
- Ability to take initiative both inside and outside the classroom.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Level 2 Certification required.
- Current Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Valid Standard Child Care First Aid and CPR Level B certification.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 45 pounds.
