As leaders in children’s mental health and wellness, St. Louis Children’s and KVC Health Systems Youth Mental Health Care have partnered to create one of the nation’s most innovative and transformative youth mental health and wellness campuses. The partnership includes a 77-bed acute care hospital and outpatient programs. Located on the KVC Missouri Children’s Mental Wellness Campus conveniently located in Webster Groves, Missouri, the peaceful environment and broad continuum of care allow children and families to access the appropriate level of treatment throughout their healing experience. Job Summary

To recognize out of the ordinary circumstances such as sickness and injury and know the appropriate steps to follow. To help ensure the mental and physical health and well-being of the patients.

 Minimum Requirements

Education: One year certificate from an accredited college or technical school

Licensure/Certification: 

  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance. Licensed as a
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Missouri.

Experience: Three to six months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Experience/Skills: Requires Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook email.


 Key Responsibilities

• Practice conduct that displays respect for all KVC colleagues and community stakeholders regardless of age, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, religion, ethnicity, or veteran status. 
 • Order medications 
 • Transcribe MAR's 
 • Assure accuracy of medication dosages and times 
 • Attend to minor injuries and determine need for medical attention 
 • Document and collect data on patients 
 • Schedule appointments, medical and psychiatric 
 • Complete dictation 
 • Check vital signs, heights, and weights of patients 
 • Collects specimens for labs per doctor’s orders 
• Schedule tests for patients, transport patients, complete yearly re-licensing and review corrective actions 
 • Assist physicians and staff as needed
