Commercial Electrician

Skillforce is hiring Journeyman-level Commercial Electricians for steady, ongoing commercial construction projects across the Richmond, VA metro — including schools, hospitals, and commercial buildings. We partner directly with established commercial electrical contractors, so you get consistent first-shift hours, weekly pay, and benefits. Pay and Schedule
• $26 to $30 per hour based on experience, weekly pay
• W-2, paid every week direct deposit
• First shift, full-time, ongoing work
• Occasional overtime when projects call for it
• Steady schedule across the Richmond metro
Commercial Electrician Responsibilities
• Bend, mount, and install conduit from prints
• Pull wire and run cable tray and supports
• Set panels, gear, devices, and fixtures
• Land terminations and make connections
• Troubleshoot commercial circuits on site
• Work alongside GCs, supervisors, and other trades on commercial builds (schools, hospitals, office/retail buildouts)
Commercial Electrician Qualifications
• 2 or more years commercial electrical work
• Read blueprints and work from prints
• Own a standard set of hand tools
• Pass a drug screen and background check
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Commercial fit-out or new construction a plus
• Virginia journeyman electrician license preferred, not required for all roles
