We started with symbolic AI before it was fashionable, and evolved into neurosymbolic systems that orchestrate data, computation, and biology—at scale—to bring precision oncology to patients.
About the Role

About Massive Bio

Every cancer patient deserves access to treatment options. Massive Bio is an AI-powered precision medicine platform transforming how cancer patients discover and access clinical trials by eliminating the barriers of geography, financial constraints, and information asymmetry that have historically limited enrollment.

Founded in 2015 and headquartered in the US, Massive Bio is scaling its impact globally by powering operations across multiple countries and bringing innovative cancer treatment options to a rapidly growing and diverse population of patients. Through our proprietary AI platform, we connect individuals to clinical trials worldwide and partner with leading pharmaceutical companies, contract research organizations (CROs), and healthcare systems to accelerate drug development and expand equitable access to cutting-edge therapies.

About the Position

Massive Bio is growing fast; more patients, more sponsors, more trials, more countries. We're creating a Patient Growth Manager role to lead the engine that finds cancer patients and brings them into the clinical trials that can help them.

What makes this role distinctive is where the work begins. While most enrollment in clinical research starts once a patient has already been identified and is present at a research site, ours starts earlier: we find the patient, determine which open studies they are genuinely eligible for, and support them through to the institution that can treat them.

This person owns the patient growth and enrollment funnel end to end: identification, outreach, qualification, site referral, screening, consent, and randomization. You work across internal teams (clinical operations, technology, provider engagement) and external stakeholders (sites, sponsors, CROs, site networks) to drive throughput, remove friction, and ensure our growth doesn't outpace our ability to deliver.

This is an operations leadership role. You will own enrollment outcomes and the processes behind them. As volume scales, you'll build and manage a team of Project Managers to expand delivery capacity.

Who You Are

Required:

  • Direct, hands-on experience finding and enrolling patients into clinical trials; you have personally run recruitment campaigns, built physician referral pathways, or worked outbound patient outreach, rather than managing patients who had already been identified and were waiting at a site

  • Oncology experience; you are comfortable with cancer indications, biomarkers, lines of therapy, and what genuinely makes a patient eligible or ineligible for a trial

  • Working knowledge of how a clinical trial actually runs; protocols, eligibility criteria, screening and consent, site workflow, and the specific things that slow each of them down

  • A track record of driving enrollment numbers rather than reporting them; you can point to volume, conversion rate, or throughput that moved because of decisions you made and actions you took

  • 5+ years leading operational delivery in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment, with meaningful time spent in clinical trials, patient recruitment, or healthcare services rather than general operations

  • Experience owning a conversion funnel or delivery pipeline end to end; measuring drop-off at each stage, identifying bottlenecks, and improving throughput systematically

  • Track record of scaling an operational function in a fast-growing organization; building repeatable processes, reducing cycle times, and increasing capacity without proportionally increasing headcount

  • Experience coordinating across multiple external partners (sites, vendors, clients, regulatory bodies) and internal teams across countries, cultures, and time zones

  • Strong analytical skills; you build dashboards, work in Excel, present in PowerPoint, and make operational decisions based on data

  • Structured project management discipline with the ability to run multiple parallel workstreams to deadline without dropping balls

  • High energy and comfort with ambiguity; this is a startup building a new function, not a process-following role at a large organization

Nice to Have:

  • Experience at a patient recruitment company, clinical trial matching platform, site network, or integrated research organization

  • Direct-to-patient marketing or paid patient acquisition experience; you have run campaigns to reach patients directly and understand the economics of that funnel

  • Experience building referral relationships with community oncologists or academic centers to move patients between institutions

  • Background in operational value creation, management consulting, industrial engineering, or private equity portfolio operations; we value people who think about growth and operational rigor together

  • Experience with AI-powered platforms or health technology

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification

Why This Role

You will be building the growth engine for a company in a high-growth phase where enrollment speed is the product. Every trial you move forward represents a group of cancer patients who reach a treatment option they would not otherwise have found. The role is designed to grow, with a direct line to the C-level and co-founders, and within 12 to 18 months you will hire and lead your own team.

The pace here is fast and the scope is wide. If you are someone who would rather own an outcome and be trusted to go and get it than work inside a narrowly defined lane, you will find a great deal of room to do that here.
