About the Role

What You Would Be Doing:

EMA is looking for Early Career Engineers in Albuquerque, NM to play a key role in supporting our engineering projects from concept to completion. We’ll provide mentorship, training, and opportunities to expand your expertise while you contribute to meaningful work that makes a difference. Bring your enthusiasm and fresh ideas, we’ll help you turn them into reality.

  • Contribute to project tasks which may include doing client site visits to retrieve information, gathering requirements, mapping processes, participating in workshops, designing, configuring, or testing parts of systems, collecting and analyzing data, performing calculations, preparing drawings and graphics, drafting reports, and preparing project documentation.
  • Contribute positively to project teams, including communicating proactively when direction is needed.
  • Consistent positive client and team interactions.
  • May represent EMA to clients as part of a project team or individually.
  • Sustains excellent client relationships by supporting and participating in new project opportunities.

Who You Are:

A recent graduate or early in your engineering career and excited to apply what you’ve learned in the real world.

  • Interested in pursuing your Professional Engineer (PE) license and continuing to grow your technical expertise.
  • Energized by the consulting environment, working with different clients, tackling new challenges, and traveling to project sites across the country.
  • Curious, analytical, and not afraid to roll up your sleeves and dive into complex problems.
  • Someone who naturally asks, “How can we make this better?” when looking at systems, processes, or operations.
  • A strong communicator who enjoys collaborating with teams and building meaningful professional relationships.
  • Motivated to learn, grow quickly, and develop into a trusted advisor and subject matter expert.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant field
  • 0-2 years of consulting/engineering experience
  • Holds an EIT or seeking to obtain EIT, P.E. License or other industry certifications

Nice to Have: Exposure to electrical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems through coursework, internships, research projects, or early professional experience.
