Experienced - Cabinet CAD Drafter

We are currently seeking an experienced CAD / Cabinets Drafter to join our team. We serve the high-end residential market in Houston, Texas with premium quality custom closets, cabinets and home organization systems. The CAD / Cabinets Drafter will be responsible for executing accurate and timely production of drawings and CNC code and production drawings. Creating layouts / BOM for the shop to produce machine & build from and creating CNC programs to machine parts for the project.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary to effectively work with clients, architects and designers, as well as our production supervisor.

ABOUT THE POSITION
 In your role, you will be responsible for the following key activities:

• Create accurate presentation drawings and highly detailed design elevations
• Document specifications and finish schedules for residential cabinetry projects.
• Prepare projects for engineering, CNC-based production, and procurement.
• Support closets / cabinetry sales and design efforts
• Support oversight of production schedule and deadlines

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Preferred 2 years experience with Cabinet Vision or Microvellum
• Knowledge and experience of CNC router programming development, optimization and troubleshooting experience with CutRite, Router-Cim or equivalent
• Working knowledge of cabinet construction (framed and/or frameless) within the wood products industry
• An understanding of how to read Architectural / CAD drawings
• Capable of solving problems with limited supervision
• Attentive to details and accuracy
• Skilled at organization
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• Professional in both demeanor and ethics
• Adept at building business relationships
• Job requirements for qualified applicants
• Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
