Qualifications

Job Summary:  The objective of a Material Handler is to get the right part, to the right person, at the right time, in the least amount of transactions. First and Third shift Material Handler position available.  

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for adherence to company and departmental Safety policies and procedures to minimize the potential for damage and injury
  • Demonstrate the ability to follow departmental objectives, processes and procedures
  • Load, unload, and move material throughout Morbark’s production areas.
  • Develop proficient use of equipment and lifting devices used in material handling processes. Not limited to counterbalance lift trucks, standup lift trucks, flat bed carts, hoists, and other lifting devices
  • Adhere to Morbark’s 6S standard in all work areas.
  • Basic equipment maintenance
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Ability to work safely at a fast pace
  • Understand, scan and utilize work orders
  • Have the ability to train and complete a variety of daily tasks

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous warehouse experience preferred
  • Must be able to follow written policies and procedures
  • Must be able to work well with others
  • Ability to operate barcode scanners
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to enter and exit lift trucks and other material handling vehicles multiple times per hour.
