Senior PMO Analyst - Post Trade Solutions

Role Purpose
We are seeking an experienced PMO professional to support Post Trade Solutions (PTS), providing portfolio governance, financial oversight, reporting, and delivery assurance across a complex portfolio of programmes and projects.
The role is responsible for ensuring robust governance, accurate financial management, high-quality portfolio reporting, and adherence to delivery standards. Working closely with senior stakeholders, the role provides insight, transparency, and control to support effective decision making and successful portfolio delivery.
The position combines strong financial acumen with PMO best practices, ensuring portfolio data integrity, risk visibility, and governance compliance across the change lifecycle.
What You'll Be Doing
Portfolio Governance & Oversight
- Coordinate and maintain portfolio governance activities across multiple programmes and projects.
- Produce governance packs, dashboards, and reporting for senior management forums.
- Ensure adherence to portfolio governance standards, methodologies, and controls.
- Monitor project health, delivery milestones, and governance compliance.
- Support stage gate reviews and investment approval processes.
- Track and escalate governance actions and decisions to ensure timely resolution.
- Provide quality assurance across programme documentation and reporting outputs.
Financial Management & Portfolio Control
- Support portfolio budgeting, forecasting, and month-end financial processes.
- Maintain accurate portfolio financial data within Clarity PPM and associated reporting tools.
- Monitor budget performance and analyse variances against approved plans.
- Track CapEx and OpEx expenditure to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Support accruals, cost tracking, forecasting updates, and financial reconciliations.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities and escalate where appropriate.
- Partner with Finance teams to ensure alignment between portfolio and financial reporting.
PMO Planning & Delivery Assurance
- Maintain integrated portfolio plans, milestones, and delivery roadmaps.
- Monitor programme dependencies and cross-project impacts.
- Challenge delivery plans to ensure completeness and consistency.
- Track progress against key milestones and delivery commitments.
- Support resource planning, capacity management, and demand tracking activities.
- Ensure delivery reporting reflects current project status and emerging risks.
RAID Management
- Maintain portfolio-level Risk, Assumption, Issue, and Dependency (RAID) registers.
- Facilitate regular reviews with programme and project teams.
- Analyse trends and identify emerging delivery risks.
- Ensure appropriate mitigation and action plans are documented and monitored.
- Escalate significant risks and issues through governance forums.
Data, Reporting & Clarity PPM Management
- Act as a key user for Clarity PPM, supporting project teams with data quality and process adherence.
- Ensure portfolio information is accurate, complete, and aligned across reporting sources.
- Produce timely management information and portfolio insights for stakeholders.
- Support the development of reporting improvements, standard templates, and automation opportunities.
- Use data analysis to identify trends, risks, and performance opportunities.
Stakeholder Management
- Build effective working relationships across PMO, Programme Management, Finance, Technology, and Business teams.
- Support senior stakeholders with timely and accurate portfolio information.
- Facilitate governance meetings and follow through on actions and decisions.
- Communicate complex information clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences.
Continuous Improvement
- Support the enhancement of PMO processes, controls, and governance frameworks.
- Drive greater consistency in reporting and portfolio management practices.
- Promote adoption of standard tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Contribute to PMO maturity initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
- Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and improved reporting.
What You'll Bring
- Significant PMO experience within change, transformation, or technology portfolios.
- Strong understanding of portfolio governance, project lifecycle controls, and reporting.
- Experience supporting financial management activities including budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and variance analysis.
- Strong proficiency in:
- Clarity PPM
- Excel (analysis, reporting, financial tracking)
- PowerPoint and executive reporting
- Portfolio and project governance processes
- Experience working within Financial Services or similarly regulated environments.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs to tight deadlines.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience producing executive-level reporting and governance materials.
