Job Summary
A hybrid role responsible for supporting both Sales Operations and Showroom activity. This position ensures seamless order processing, logistics coordination, credit management, and data accuracy across multiple systems, while also providing in-person support to showroom clients and maintaining the overall presentation and functionality of the showroom.
Essential Functions
Convert Estimates (quotes) into Customer Orders and Purchase Orders, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
Produce monthly ageing reports and follow up on outstanding Estimates and Customer Orders not captured through standard ERP reporting.
Create import files to enable real‑time processing of discontinued or made‑to‑order SKUs by Sales Support.
Maintain and update cross‑reference data to ensure system alignment and order accuracy.
Manage interstate shipments, including large sample orders from Sydney, in partnership with logistics teams.
Support the development and management of made‑to‑order and custom quotes for rugs and MDPs.
Collaborate with Finance, Logistics, and Sales leadership to streamline real‑time quoting processes and reduce back‑and‑forth communication.
Conduct and manage credit checks for customers requesting payment terms, working closely with Herman Miller Finance to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
Manage inventory levels of showroom supplies and samples, ensuring timely reordering and restocking to support client visits and daily operations.
Oversee upkeep of showroom display tables, binders, and hang sets to ensure presentation standards are consistently met.
Assist walk-in showroom clients or those requesting same-day or ad hoc appointments.
Coordinate with cleaning staff and external vendors/trades to support showroom upkeep.

Contacts Inside and Outside the Organization
This position has contact with internal departments including: Sales, Programming, IT, Finance, Logistics, and Sales leadership. External interaction includes showroom visitors, decorators, designers, and service providers supporting showroom operations.
Knowledge and Skills
Well organized, detail oriented, and have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Well honed in the customer service experience with the desire to work as part of a team.
Must possess strong analytical qualities, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to multitask.
Ability to provide a high level of in-person service in a showroom environment.
Be proficient in Windows, Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.
Experience in logistics coordination or supply chain support preferred.
Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferred
5 years of adminstrative and customer service experience
