About The Company
Optikos® is the world’s largest independent optical engineering company. Based in Wakefield, MA, Optikos is a key player for innovation in optics by driving precision and performance across space, defense, life sciences, automotive, aerial imaging, and semiconductor markets. Optikos transforms complex optical concepts into manufacturable systems. With over forty years of expertise spanning optics, mechanics, electronics, and automation, the company delivers end-to-end solutions from optical design and engineering to volume manufacturing and world-class metrology. Manufacturing: Where Precision Meets Production Our 55,000‑square‑foot manufacturing facility closes the loop from measurement to reality. With ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016 certified processes—and full DDTC and ITAR authorization—we deliver contract manufacturing from prototype through full‑scale production, backed by the same metrology and engineering expertise that defines Optikos. Expanded cleanroom capabilities, advanced alignment‑turning, and precision assembly achieve sub‑micron performance, while comprehensive in‑house metrology validates every build. This integrated model is our competitive advantage: the engineers who design your system work alongside the manufacturing specialists who build it and the metrology experts who verify it. Issues are identified and resolved faster because measurement, design, and production expertise exist under one roof. From medical imaging devices to aerospace optics, we deliver precision assemblies with validated test data to prove performance. The result is optical systems engineered for excellence, manufactured with precision, and measured for performance.
