Position Summary:
Deliver exceptional preventative maintenance and inspections on commercial HVAC equipment and systems, ensuring reliable operation, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, package units, heat pumps, and other commercial equipment.
- Conduct thorough inspections, identify potential issues, and communicate findings and recommendations to customers and management.
- Perform minor repairs and adjustments during maintenance visits while ensuring all work complies with applicable codes and manufacturer specifications.
- Complete all required service documentation accurately using company software.
- Submit purchase orders to dispatch or designated purchasing team members as needed.
- Transport materials and tools to job sites and maintain proper accountability of assigned tools and equipment.
- Keep company vehicle clean, organized, properly stocked, and accurately inventoried.
- Effectively communicate with property managers, facility managers, and customers regarding equipment condition, maintenance recommendations, and service needs.
- Notify management of repair opportunities or replacement recommendations identified during maintenance visits.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with customers and coworkers at all times.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Possess good analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Must be highly organized with good attention to detail and follow through.
- Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations.
- Function in a team environment.
- Must be able to use a computer tablet, smart phone and read a map or follow GPS.
- Valid driver’s license, and approved to drive by Company’s insurance carrier.
Working Conditions:
- Work in indoor/outdoor elements with extreme variation in temperatures.
- Climbing, heavy lifting, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, and reaching.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in tight spaces such as attics and/or crawlspaces.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items.
- Occasionally work from heights 15 feet or higher above ground.
- Have good visual acuity to see and focus close, distance and peripheral vision with normal depth perception.
- Willing to work hours outside of normal work schedule, if needed.
- Must be able to pass a drug screening test
