About the Role
Description
Position Summary
The Shuttle Driver plays a key role in ensuring auto parts are in the right place at the right time. This position is responsible for transporting parts between multiple store locations and our distribution center, helping maintain strong inventory flow so customers receive what they need—when they need it. The ideal candidate enjoys driving, is detail-oriented, and can maintain a consistent, reliable schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Transportation & Delivery
- Safely operate a company vehicle to transport parts between store locations and the distribution center.
- Follow established daily routes to maintain delivery timelines.
- Ensure accurate loading and unloading of parts to prevent shortages or mix-ups.
- Conduct vehicle inspections before and after routes to ensure proper operation.
- Maintain clear and accurate delivery logs and documentation.
Operational Support
- Assist store teams with pulling and organizing parts for delivery when needed, make individual customer delivery when needed.
- Help stock inventory at store locations when requested to keep shelves full, neat, and customer ready.
- Report inventory issues or discrepancies promptly to store management.
Customer & Team Interaction
- Work cooperatively with store personnel, providing friendly and professional service during deliveries.
- Communicate effectively about delays, issues, or routing concerns.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company driving policies, including portable device guidelines.
- Adhere to all state and local driving regulations.
- Operate the vehicle with care to protect people, parts, and property.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to maintain a consistent schedule and arrive reliably for daily routes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling parts.
- Comfortable working independently and making sound decisions while on the road.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, climb, and handle physical tasks as needed.
- Prior delivery, warehouse, or automotive parts experience is a plus.
