About the Role

We are looking for a Maintenance Tech for our Huntersville facility. In this role you will responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing additive manufacturing equipment to ensure maximum uptime and reliability. This role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement of AM systems and supporting infrastructure. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and technical skills, along with experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Support machine uptime goal of  >80%.
  • Support printing utilization goal of  >65%.
  • Reduce cost of non quality due to AM machine and support equipment issues.
  • Reduce cost of unplanned machine repairs.
  • Use of required PPE, including respirators and protective clothing when applicable.
  • Accurately document maintenance activities, downtime events, and repairs in maintenance management systems (MaintainX).
  • Track critical spare parts, recommend inventory levels, and support procurement to minimize downtime risks.
  • Interface with OEMs and external service providers for advanced troubleshooting, repairs, and technical support.
  • Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve equipment issues and improve system performance.
  • Monitor machine performance, identify recurring issues, and implement long-term corrective actions to improve reliability.

 

 

Your Profile:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with relevant manufacturing or maintenance experience, or an associate’s/bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing technology, or a related field.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with proven ability to perform complex repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance.
  • In compliance with U.S. Government technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), candidates must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
  • Experience maintaining industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, sensors, and control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance procedures.
  • Effective time management and prioritization.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues using systematic problem-solving and root cause analysis Effective time management and prioritization.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
