About the Role

Description

Superior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Inc. is a trusted regional provider of skilled trade services, specializing in commercial new construction, tenant improvements, and electrical services. We are seeking an Apprentice Electrician to support commercial new construction and tenant improvement projects. This position requires flexibility in scheduling, including overnight shifts, and the ability to travel for extended assignments as needed.


Schedule

  • Sunday through Thursday 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation of electrical conduit and raceway systems, including EMT, PVC, MC cable, flexible conduit, RMC, and other wiring methods
  • Pull, route, secure, and label electrical wiring and cables under the direction of a Journeyman or Foreman
  • Assist with the installation of electrical panels, junction boxes, switches, receptacles, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings with guidance to complete installations accurately
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and jobsite equipment while following company safety policies and OSHA regulations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and assist with material handling, inventory, and jobsite preparation
  • Assist with troubleshooting electrical systems and correcting installation issues under the supervision of experienced electricians
  • May perform other jobsite related duties assigned by the foreman

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years of experience in commercial construction
  • Availability to work third shifts or overnight schedule
  • Ability to perform physical work throughout the shift, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, walking, squatting, and ascending or descending stairs
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights (including lifts), and in inclement weather
