We take skiers, snowboarders and mountain bikers to iconic destinations around the world via evoTrip, our group and private travel business. In addition to lodging at The Journeyman Lodge in Whistler, adventure-minded travelers can stay with us at evo Hotel in Salt Lake. We will open evo Hotel Tahoe City in Winter 2024/2025, and evo Hotel Hakuba in Winter 2024. At the heart of everything we do is our mission to leave a positive impact on communities, by bringing financial and volunteer support to non-profit organizations dedicated to getting underserved kids outdoors. To support this work we have two skateparks, All Together Skate Park Salt Lake, and All Together Skatepark Seattle, where kids lives are positively impacted by the love of skateboarding.

The Job

Retail Leads play a pivotal role in evo's retail operations by leading and maintaining operational excellence including but not limited to, store inventory management, ship to store pick-up operations and ship from store, and providing guidance and support to frontline employees. They are responsible for leading and developing retail team members, maintaining a positive customer experience, achieving sales goals, and upholding evo's visual merchandising standards.


Pay: $23.00/hr - $25.75/hr

Duration: Mid October - Mid February (with the possibility to extend) 


Scheduling Requirements: 

  • This is a seasonal position with weekend and holiday scheduling requirements. 
  • Weekend availability is required, as well as the ability to work during peak holiday periods including Black Friday (the day after US Thanksgiving) and the weeks leading up to and following Christmas. 
  • Shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The Opportunity

  • Collaborate with the Store Supervisor to positively influence employee productivity, customer experience, and sales goals. 
  • Uphold evo's visual merchandising standards to create an appealing shopping environment. 
  • Provide on-the-spot coaching to staff, addressing performance, customer service, and work ethic. 
  • Lead by example, consistently meeting and exceeding goals and expectations set by the retail leadership team. 
  • Execute store sales/promotions, markdowns, transfers, shipments, and merchandising projects. 
  • Assist with opening and closing responsibilities, including register management and nightly walkthroughs. 
  • Exemplify customer service standards, maintaining a welcoming and positive demeanor. 
  • Check in with staff throughout the day, manage lunch schedules, and ensure floor coverage. 
  • Provide feedback on product assortment to the Supervisor and/or Manager. 
  • Lead store operations including receiving, processing and restocking inventory. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

The Must Haves

  • Previous experience in a retail role is preferred. 
  • Proficiency in using retail systems and software (e.g., NetSuite, evoPOS, BRM, HighJump). 
  • Adaptability, attention to detail, cash handling, communication, conflict resolution, critical thinking, customer service, inventory management, merchandising, multitasking, problem-solving, product knowledge, teamwork, time management 
  • Embodies, honors, and lives our core values: The Great 8 

The Nice to Haves

  • Knowledge of outdoor sports and gear is a plus.

The base wage for this role ranges from $23.00/hr to $25.75/hr. Where you land in that range depends on your skills and experience, and we also factor in internal pay equity. While the full range is listed for this role, we rarely hire at the top of the range, leaving room for professional and financial growth in role.
