We are now inviting suitable candidate(s) to join us in the Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration for the following post(s):
[For Research Project “Interpretable Multi-Level Interaction Learning for Restaurant Choice and Recommendation” (Project No. R6998)]
Applications are invited for the position to support a research project involving econometric modelling, data mining, and large-scale data analysis.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
· Supporting a collaborative research project between the Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration, Hong Kong Metropolitan University, and the School of Hotel and Tourism Management, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University;
· Processing and analyzing large-scale multimodal social media data;
· Conducting econometric modelling, data mining, statistical analysis;
· Preparing research reports, academic papers, and conference presentations; and
· Performing other research-related duties as assigned by the Project Investigator.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
· Possess a doctoral degree or a master’s degree or above in Economics, Psychology, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related discipline;
· Sound knowledge of econometric models and practical experience in data-mining techniques;
· Proficient in analytical or programming tools such as Python, R, Stata, SQL, or equivalent software;
· Experience in preparing and publishing business / tourism papers in English-language academic journals; and
· A good command of written and spoken English.
