Seasonal Cashier at Frugal Fannies!

We are looking for seasonal help to support our Fall Season! 

Position Summary

The Cashier is responsible for delivering a positive checkout experience by processing purchases efficiently, accurately, and courteously. This includes operating the register, handling payments, folding and bagging items, and maintaining a clean, organized workstation in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

•  Greet every customer in line with Frugal Fannies' Standards of Politeness
•  Accurately scan, count, and verify all merchandise at checkout
•  Operate the cash register using an electronic scanner system
•  Handle various forms of payment, including cash, checks, debit/credit, gift cards, and store credits
•  Maintain a tidy and professional register area at all times
•  Assist with adding customers to the store mailing list at checkout
•  Support the sales floor as needed
•  Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 3 to 6 months of cashier or customer service experience preferred
• Comfortable working quickly and accurately in a high-volume environment
• Basic English language proficiency for reading, speaking, and writing
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multi-task and resolve issues as they arise
• Comfortable following procedures and maintaining accuracy under pressure

Physical Requirements

• Stand for long periods on concrete flooring
• Regularly reach, lift, push, or pull merchandise and cleaning equipment
• Bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch as needed to maintain the area or retrieve items
• Lift or move items up to 25lbs
