About The Company
Our Community Our Kids (OCOK), a division of ACH Child and Family Services, has provided a continuum of services for children in the Texas foster care system of the Metroplex West (Region 3b) since 2014. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, OCOK is contracted with Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) as a Single Source Continuum Contractor (SSCC) to expand Community-Based Care (CBC) in the Region, which includes Erath, Hood, Johnson, Palo Pinto, Parker, Somervell, and Tarrant counties. As the pioneer of Community-Based Care in Texas, we partner with child-placing agencies and community organizations to provide the best care possible for youth in foster and kinship care and effectively support their families.
About the Role

Description

Position Function

The Human Resource Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department by providing administrative, operational, and customer service support across a variety of HR functions. This position serves as a resource to employees, applicants, and supervisors, assists with department projects and initiatives, supports HR systems and recordkeeping activities, and helps ensure efficient and effective HR operations. The Human Resource Coordinator works collaboratively with members of the HR team to support organizational priorities and departmental needs while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
 

Exposure to Confidential Information:

This position has access to confidential employee, applicant, payroll, and organizational information. The Human Resource Coordinator is expected to maintain strict confidentiality and comply with all agency policies regarding the handling of sensitive information.

 

Working Conditions

Primarily office-based environment with extended periods of time sitting at the computer, receiving and returning emails and frequent telephone, virtual, and in-person communication. Occasional travel to office locations throughout OCOK’s entire region. (Northeast 3E Region to include Collin, Grayson, Fannin, Hunt, Rockwall, Ellis, Kaufman and Navarro Counties. Southwest 3W Region to include Tarrant, Johnson, Erath, Somervell, Hood, Parker, Palo Pinto, Denton, Cooke, and Wise Counties). 


Key Expectations/Responsibilities:

Employee Support and HR Coordination

· Serve as a resource for employee questions and direct inquiries to appropriate HR team members as needed.

· Provide administrative and operational support to Human Resources initiatives and projects.

· Assist with coordinating HR activities and department workflows.

· Maintain professional and positive working relationships with employees, applicants, supervisors, and external partners.

· Support the Human Resources team in providing quality customer service across all HR functions.

· Assist with special projects and department priorities as assigned.


HR Systems and Compliance

· Maintain employee records and HR system data.

· Assist with processing employee transactions and updates.

· Prepare reports, forms, and documentation as requested.

· Support recordkeeping, audits, and compliance-related activities.

· Assist with maintaining HR resources, procedures, and department documentation.

· Support employment-related administrative processes as assigned.


Benefits and Administrative Support

· Provide administrative support for employee benefit programs as assigned.

· Assist with benefit-related communications, documentation, and enrollment activities.

· Direct employees to appropriate resources regarding benefits-related questions.

· Support departmental administrative processes and employee support activities.


Customer Service

· Greet applicants, employees, and visitors in a professional manner.

· Assist applicants and employees with forms, paperwork, and general inquiries.

· Answer and direct incoming phone calls and emails.

· Respond to HR inquiries in a timely and professional manner.


Additional Duties

· Provide administrative, operational, and project support across all areas of Human Resources as assigned.

· Assist with department initiatives, organizational priorities, and special projects.

· Perform other duties as assigned to support Human Resources operations and agency needs.

Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.


Experience: Two (2) years of Human Resources experience preferred.


Functional: Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Knowledge of Human Resources practices and employment processes preferred.
