The Idaho Youth Ranch is one of the oldest non-profit agencies in the state of Idaho. Our mission:

We unite for Idaho’s youth by providing accessible programs and services that nurture hope, healing, and resilience.

Successful candidates will have a once-in-a-career opportunity to be a part of the opening of our new Residential Center for Healing and Resilience, a 64-bed psychiatric residential treatment facility (PRTF) for youth, currently under construction at our beautiful 258-acre Hands of Promise Campus in Idaho’s Treasure Valley.

As a Shift Supervisor for the Residential Center for Healing and Resilience, you can proudly tell your family and friends that you help nurture hope, healing, and resilience in Idaho’s youth by leading and supervising the direct care staff working in the program. Every member of the IYR works to contribute to the Programs and Services in their own way to make them accessible to all youth who need those services in Idaho.


The shifts are 3x12s one week and 4x12s the next alternating.  Thursday through Saturday, alternating Wednesdays. 

9:00 pm to 9:00 am.


Must Haves:

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Must have a valid Idaho driver’s license or obtain one within 15 days of hire
  • Must possess High School diploma OR equivalent and three years full time experience in a children's residential facility OR an Associate's degree and two years full time experience in a children's residential care facility OR a Bachelor's degree and one year full time experience in a children's residential care facility.

Our Shift Supervisors:

  • Leads up to 20 staff and/or interns assigned to them to provide outstanding care to youth and complete all required tasks
  • Assists with on-boarding and training Youth Care Providers
  • Carries out duties and tasks in accordance with the program’s standards and procedures and ensures that other direct care staff do the same

As a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, the Idaho Youth Ranch is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PLSF) program. The PLSF offers student loan forgiveness on qualifying loans under specific conditions. Speak with your loan provider for more information.


This position is located in Idaho and candidates must be within a reasonable distance to our location.
