About the Role

About the Role

The Library Platforms and Technology Officer plays a key role in supporting the technology and systems that underpin UOW Library services. Working across core library platforms, business applications and specialist technology solutions, you will help ensure systems are reliable, effective and responsive to the needs of staff, students and researchers. You will contribute to system configuration, troubleshooting, workflow improvements, data reporting and user support, helping the Library maximise the value of its technology environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the effective operation and ongoing improvement of library systems and digital platforms.
  • Contribute to the collection, analysis and reporting of data from Library systems and applications.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, testing and user support for Library technology solutions.
  • Create and maintain user documentation and provide support to staff and users.

About the Team

Library Services supports the University's teaching, learning and research activities through the delivery of high-quality information, technology and customer services. Based within Library Services, this role reports to the Library Systems Coordinator and works closely with Library staff, Shared Services and Information Management and Technology Services (IMTS) colleagues to deliver innovative and reliable technology solutions that support the Library’s technology environment and digital service delivery, enhancing the experience of students, researchers and staff.

  • Experience assisting with system analysis activities, including data gathering, testing and documenting outcomes to support continuous improvement.

Role Details

  • Employment Type: Permanent/Continuing, Full-time
  • Level 5: $85,682 - $96,898 plus 17% superannuation
  • Position Description
  • Location: Wollongong Campus
  • Valid Australian work rights required. Visa sponsorship is not available.
